“Overseer of the Church Affairs”Deacon Ministry

This ministry purpose is to serve the congregation and assist the pastor as overseers of the church affairs.   Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of faith in a pure conscience.  And let those also first be proved; then let them use the office of deacon, being found blameless.    1 Timothy 3:8-10
